For this special collaboration with Œuvres sensibles, floral prints were created that echo the contours of the plants used to make them. Each piece is a mirror of the natural world; a reflection of our planet's generous flora. For this special dye process, sumac was used in combination with iron to produce grey with a slightly periwinkle undertone. Eucalyptus and delphinium were also used on these unique placemats. Because of the seasonal and local nature of the plants used, we think of these fabrics as tactile poetry that evoke a particular moment and place. Our hope was to capture ephemera that would otherwise pass us by. For more, please check out our Instagram highlights.
